Our Mission is to seek full representation of African Americans at all levels and in all activities of the Democratic Party
 
The AAC-CC is chartered by the North Carolina Democratic Party Executive Committee. It is an integral part of the North Carolina Democratic Party on the State and National levels. The AAC-CC is the watchdog of our African American Communities in Cleveland County. We attend the city council, school board, county commissioner, upper Cleveland County council, and the township meetings. We setup registration booth at churches, football games and other events. We host a "Meet & Greet" Democratic local & state candidate’s forum, "Need A Ride To Poll", encouraging "ONESTOP" (early voting) and call voters to go vote.
 
Our Vision is to create an African American Caucus membership of dynamic, progressive and visionary Registered Democrats all committed to help advance African Americans in labor, community leadership, entrepreneurship, and to foster the ideals and values of the Democratic party.
 
Our Goals:
 
Strengthening the influence of African Americans in the Democratic Party.
  Supporting the Democratic Party's platform by spreading the word  and electing Democrats.
  Encourage more availability for Minority Business, both male and female within the governmental hiring process.
To enable all Cleveland County African Americans Democratic voters access to issues and give them a platform to voice their concerns.
 Creating a report card on all elected officials and then inform  the voters of the results. An informed voter creates an active  and good voter.

These goals are accompliished by:  

  • Raising money.
  • Organizing events that raise political awareness.
  • Recruting new members.
  • Keeping our communities aware of the political happening within the Party
  • Members will also receive regular email updates, talking points on key issues, action alerts and news updates on issues that matter to the AAC-CC

 

The AAC-CC will not endorse or support the candidacy of any person for any office that is not a Democratic Party nominee.
